GOD IS CREATOR

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [Genesis 1:1]

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. [Psalm 19:1]

God created a beautiful world, and God saw that it was good, Scripture tells us. He was pleased with what He had made and He gave us the world and all its beauty to enjoy. Wherever we look there is evidence of the greatness of God. His creativity is endless; each sunset has its own delightful radiance, each flower its distinctive beauty. God has created such variety and splendor to remind us of His infinite glory.

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. [Cecil F. Alexander]

GOD OUR PROVIDER

So Abraham called that place The LORD WILL PROVIDE. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided." [Genesis 22:14]

God knows what His children need and promises to provide everything that is necessary for us to live a godly life. He is deeply compassionate, kind, and extravagantly generous. He has more than enough for our needs, and we can trust Him to do what is best for us. Do you need comfort? God is our Comforter. Do you need wisdom? He is our wisdom. Do you need guidance? He sends His Holy Spirit to show us the way. Do you need righteousness? He provided it through the blood of Jesus Christ. Trust Him; He always works things out for our good.

He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all---how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? [Romans 8:32]

For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. [Matthew 6:32-33]

And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:19]

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. [Psalm 37:4]

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. [1 Timothy 6:17]

GOD IS MY BANNER

Moses built an altar and called it THE LORD is my BANNER. [Exodus 17:15]

The Bible tells us that God is the commander-in-chief of the hosts of heaven, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the leader of the army of the Almighty. May I say, God is always victorious, always triumphant, and always the winner! As believers we are also on the winning side, even when it feels as if we are losing every battle. Scripture teaches that we are more than conquerors because of what He has done for us, in us, and through us. Christ is our banner, so rejoice and give Him praise “for it is finished” and we win.

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. [Deuteronomy 20:4]

With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. [Psalm 60:12]

The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies. [Isaiah 42:13]

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. [Colossians 2:15]

The most important of life’s battles is the one we fight daily in the silent chambers of the soul. [David O McKay]
