The vaule of a promise

Question! What has God promised you? For starters, He has promised never to leave or forsake you. The God of the universe has promised that His grace will be adequate and you will live forever. He has promised you strength in the midst of troubles. And He has promised to back up those promises with unlimited resources and absolute integrity. So why do you worry so much? May I say God has promised. That settles it, so don't worry about it.
Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper, I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5)

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES

"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true" (Acts 17:11, NIV).

Unfortunately many people blindly follow religious leaders, never questioning what they really believe and teach. This is especially true in the various cults. It can be so in any church or group, especially where legalism and false teaching exists. Can you imagine questioning the Apostle Paul, the most powerful Christian leader in the early church? But the people of Berea in ancient Greece did this to make sure that what he was teaching was in line with God's Word. And they were commended for it.

It's important that we, too, learn to study and know the Scriptures for ourselves, and question or review everything we are taught to make sure it is what God's Word teaches. While we need to respect faithful leaders, we must make God's Word our "final voice of authority" and not the words of men, some of whom are fakes and frauds. You think about that.

Jesus is the Judge

All who reject Jesus as their Lord and Savior will one day face Him as their Judge. "God is now declaring to men that all everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead" (Acts 17:30-31).
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 says, "The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power."
The Bible also says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). Dear friend are you in Christ Jesus? Have you been truly born again? Have you repented of your sin? Only you know the answer to these questions. May I say, if you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you face an eternity separated from God. In a place the Bible says, "was prepared for the devil and his angels." A place described as a lake of everlasting fire, "where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Note! God's perfect Word concerning salvation; "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation....For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." (Romans 10:9-10,13) You think about that.
