The LORD is compassionate and gracious; slow to anger, abounding in love. [Psalm 103:8]

God is infinitely patient. He watches over us when we stumble and fall and He is always ready to help us up. Sometimes we try to do things our way and ignore God. But He waits patiently; watching over us with tender loving care. He woos us and draws us with His love and kindness and does not grow impatient with our shortcomings. He treats us with gentleness and compassion. Oh! Where would we be without His love, grace and long-suffering?

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. [2Peter 3:9]

Love is patient, love is kind. [1 Corinthians 13:4]

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance? [Romans 2:4]
God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished. [Romans 3:25]

When God ripens apples, He isn’t in a hurry and doesn’t make a noise. [D. Jackman]
