Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can goodness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? [2 Corinthians 6:14]

Compromise can weaken and destroy faith. Paul urges believers not to form binding relationships with nonbelievers because this might weaken their commitment to Christ. Earlier, Paul had explained that this did not mean isolating oneself from nonbelievers (see 1 Corinthians 5:9-10). Paul even tells Christians to stay with non- believing spouses (1 Corinthians 7:12-13). He wants believers to be active in their witness for Christ, but they should not lock themselves into personal or business relationships that could cause them to compromise their faith. Believers should avoid situations that could force them to divide their loyalties.

God's blessing comes to our lives because of His grace, not because of our worthiness.

It is a contradiction to be a true Christian and not humble. [Richard Baxter]

God wants us to sign a blank contract and give it to Him to fill in.

The right kind of heart is a kind heart like God's.

People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

The pleasure of sin is soon gone, but the sting remains. [Thomas Watson]

Grace is the free, undeserved goodness and favor of God to mankind. [Matthew Henry]

When sin is your burden, Christ will be your delight. [Thomas Watson]

The Christian faith is not for lone rangers.

The Bible knows nothing of solitary religion. [John Wesley]

Returning to our daily tasks and routine at the appropriate time can help us cope with tragedy.

Suffering is a necessary prelude to glorification.

Your significance and security is found in Christ alone. What we view as our source will determine our course.

Opportunity only knocks once, temptation leans on the doorbell.

No one is ever free in an absolute sense, we are free to choose what will control us, but we are not free to avoid this choice.
