GOD IS TRANSCENDENT

The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. [Psalm 103:19]

Before there was anything, there was God. He created all that exists and He is above and beyond His creation. His wisdom and power are all-encompassing and go beyond any force in the universe. He rules the heavens and has everything under control. He displays His glory through His creation and in the lives of those who worship Him.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." [Isaiah 55:8-9] 

Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? [Psalms 113:5-6]

Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens - what can you do? They are deeper than the depths of the grave - what can you know? Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea. [Job 11:7-9]

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. [Psalm 145:3]

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has been his counselor? [Romans 11:33-34]

Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you - majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? [Exodus 15:11]

Oh, the fullness, pleasure and sheer excitement of knowing God. To know Christ is to know God. Do you know Jesus?  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. [Acts 4:12]
